    The Department of Social Welfare established in 1987 has made a great contribution to the development of Korea's social welfare. The graduates playing an active part in the fields try to improve the quality of individual and family's everyday life.

    Today the mission is to train students as the future leaders not only of Korea, but also of the world who can professionally understand, analyze, predict and try to resolve social problems including unemployment, poverty, social security, etc.

    Our students have many job opportunities. Graduates from this department work at social service organizations, social welfare institutions, public offices, etc.

    The department offers various courses which aim at equipping students with theories and practices such as social work practice, social welfare policy, social work for the aged, social work for the disabled, social work for the children, community work, Christian social work, etc.
