    The Department of Dance established in 2001 has up-to-date dance educational facilities. The goal of this department is to lead the world of dance in the 21st century through the harmony of theory and practical skill, the specialization of technical dance education and the active exchange with major international dance education institutes and organizations and to foster the differentiation and specialization which mark it off from the other departments of dance.

    To attain this purpose, special importance is attached to understanding and analyzing dance works, researching and developing dance teaching methods, analyzing dance movements, making plans for public dance performances, and developing missionary dances.

    Aiming at producing capable dance experts including art dancers, missionary dancers, theorists of dance, dance planners and musical dancers, this department provides students with theories and practical skills of three areas of specialization, ballet, Korean dance and modern dance.
